> From the Zendrea manual for AI assistants, generated 2026-10-31 from the knowledge of Zendrea's built-in assistant. All topics: https://www.zendrea.ch/llms.txt; all of them in one file: https://www.zendrea.ch/llms-full.txt. Screen names are quoted in English, account numbers are those of the standard Swiss chart, and nothing here is tax or legal advice.

The app has three main areas:
- **Entries panel** (bottom-left) — expenses, asset purchases, quotes (the tab labeled "Offerten"/"Quotes", directly above Revenue; the topic [quotes](https://www.zendrea.ch/docs/quotes.md)), revenue (the tab labeled "Einnahmen"/"Revenue", and it hosts BOTH customer invoices and the "New revenue" direct-income form), salaries (the tab labeled "Löhne"/"Salaries"), others.
- **Reports panel** (top-left), in tab order — Ledger, Account Balances, Bank Account, Open Items, Compensation (two tabs: Salaries with the Lohnausweis per employee, and Shareholders with the shares, loans, dividends and certificates), Fixed Assets, VAT, Social Insurance (with the sub-tabs AHV / FAK, UVG, KTG and BVG: the AHV quarters, each insurer's year with its wage list, the pension fund's year with its contributions per employee; each row keeps its insurer's bill as a receipt, attached with the row's paperclip before or after paying, replaced or deleted while unpaid; every row takes one receipt and one payment, and once paid its pay button shows the payment (an eye) and refuses another; each tab ends with the year's correction row and a Total row whose button clears what is left against P&L), Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Tax Declaration.
- **Settings panel** (right side) — company info, bank accounts, clients, suppliers, rates, VAT, people (persons with roles: employees, shareholders, board, management, auditors; share register), Social Insurance (with the sub-tabs AHV / FAK for the compensation office's fund and rates, UVG and KTG for the accident and daily sickness insurance contracts, BVG for the pension fund's documents (contract, confirmations, contribution lists, each read when added) and the contributions per employee, dated, each fillable from a document), chart of accounts, opening balances, email, links (the portals of the VAT, the AHV office, the UVG, KTG and BVG insurers, the tax declaration and the bank; each Social Insurance tab, in the settings and in the report, starts with its insurer's portal), members, security, export/import data, notes.

Two tabs are both labeled "VAT": the **report** shows the VAT summary per reporting segment — quarters (effective method), semesters (net tax rate method), or one annual row when the period opted into annual reporting — and is **hidden unless the selected period is VAT-registered**; the **settings** tab holds the per-fiscal-period VAT status table (with the reporting-frequency dropdown) and the VAT codes. When the user says "VAT tab", prefer the one matching their intent (report vs configuration) and say which one you mean.

Opening Balances is a top-level tab in the **Settings panel**, not a sub-page. Users reach it by clicking "Opening Balances" directly in the Settings sidebar.
