# Deadlines panel (Fristen)

> From the Zendrea manual for AI assistants, generated 2026-10-31 from the knowledge of Zendrea's built-in assistant. All topics: https://www.zendrea.ch/llms.txt; all of them in one file: https://www.zendrea.ch/llms-full.txt. Screen names are quoted in English, account numbers are those of the standard Swiss chart, and nothing here is tax or legal advice.

The header has a **Deadlines button** (clock icon, amber, left of the AI-assistant button; a badge counts items due within 14 days or overdue) opening a small dockable panel — same docking as the assistant's chat, and both can be open at once. It lists **derived VAT obligations across ALL fiscal years**, independent of the period selected in the header: per segment (Q/S/year by the period's reporting frequency) a "file the return" item and a "pay" item with the open amount, each due 60 days after the segment's end (Art. 71/86 MWSTG); annual periods show the ESTV instalment dates during the year. Items complete themselves from the books — attaching the ESTV confirmation ticks "file", booking the settlement ticks "pay" — completed items keep a green check for a while, then drop off. A negative segment reads as "refund expected". Rows navigate to the VAT report of the item's year. With employees it also lists **AHV quarters**: a calm "Get the AHV receipt from the compensation office" notice in the quarter's last three weeks, then "pay" from quarter end, due 10 days later (Art. 34 AHVV), with the open payable as the amount; done when the quarter is settled or pooled payments cover it; rows open the Social Insurance report on its AHV / FAK tab. Quarters without payroll show nothing. In December and January it reminds to **send the past year's salaries** to the AHV office (due 30 January, AHVV 36) and, one row per insurance whose contract covers part of the year, to the accident insurer and to the daily sickness insurer (Suva: 31 January); each row opens that insurance's tab of the Social Insurance report with its year-end wage list. From 1 December through January it also reminds to **enter the new year's rates of the AHV office** (family allowances, administration costs) when the ending year had salaries and the new year's fund record lacks them; the row opens Settings → Social Insurance → AHV / FAK and the reminder goes once both rates are saved and disappear after their due date, since nothing marks a declaration as sent yet. It also reminds to **book the month's salaries**: in a month's last week (due month end, bookkeeping convention) an item shows live coverage ("1 of 3 booked") of employees employed that month with a salary in effect vs. salary-flow bookings dated in the month; rows navigate to the Salaries entries tab. This stream stays silent until the mandator's first salary-flow booking exists — plain-expense or imported salary history never activates it. Open items appear as at most three AGGREGATE rows (never per bill — the Open Items report holds the detail, and rows navigate there): overdue supplier bills, supplier bills due within 14 days, and overdue customer invoices (the action being a payment reminder), each with count, summed amount and the bucket's earliest due date; credit notes, undated positions and bills more than a year past due are excluded. For Swiss companies with shareholders or loan links recorded in Settings → Persons it also lists **shareholder certificates** after every closed year ("Shareholder certificates 2025 (1 of 2 created)", due two months after the year end, a convention after the Lohnausweis practice), done once every recipient has a certificate; rows open the Compensation report on its Shareholders tab (the topic [people](https://www.zendrea.ch/docs/people.md)). After a dividend is resolved it lists the **withholding tax** ("Withholding tax on the 2025 dividend: file Form 110 and pay", the amount, due 30 days after the payable date; when the dividend falls due after the general meeting, the label names the earlier filing date, 30 days after the meeting), done once the remittance is booked. Read-only and fully deterministic (no AI). Other deadline types (tax declaration) are planned.
