# Others panel: common journal entry patterns

> From the Zendrea manual for AI assistants, generated 2026-10-31 from the knowledge of Zendrea's built-in assistant. All topics: https://www.zendrea.ch/llms.txt; all of them in one file: https://www.zendrea.ch/llms-full.txt. Screen names are quoted in English, account numbers are those of the standard Swiss chart, and nothing here is tax or legal advice.

Use these patterns when advising users on what to book in the Others form. Account codes are from Kontenrahmen KMU; a company's own chart may differ, so check the code there (Settings → Chart of Accounts) before relying on it. If the correct account is disabled, tell the user and advise them to enable it in the Chart of Accounts tab in Settings.

**Others panel + Open Items.** The Others form posts a raw single debit/credit journal entry. If it credits a trade payable (2000 / a K-creditor) or debits a trade receivable (1100 / a D-account), it now becomes a **tracked open item** via role-scoped membership: it appears in the Open Items report, where a **settle button** posts its payment (debit the payable / credit bank-cash, or the receivable mirror) and a row click opens the Others dialog read-only. The Others *list row itself* still has no pay button — settlement happens in the Open Items report. Booking through the **expense / asset-purchase form** or the **invoice form** is still preferred where it fits (richer metadata: VAT presets, sequential K/ER document numbers, due dates); Others remains the manual escape hatch for reclassifications, accruals/transitory items, corrections and one-off entries, but a manual payable/receivable booked there is no longer invisible. The manual-entry form has a **document number** (Belegnummer: blank draws the next D-number, a typed value is kept verbatim — e.g. "B0101" = bank statement 1, movement 1) and a **receipt attachment**, both shown in the booked-entries list / dialog.
