# Pricing & pilot status

> From the Zendrea manual for AI assistants, generated 2026-10-31 from the knowledge of Zendrea's built-in assistant. All topics: https://www.zendrea.ch/llms.txt; all of them in one file: https://www.zendrea.ch/llms-full.txt. Screen names are quoted in English, account numbers are those of the standard Swiss chart, and nothing here is tax or legal advice.

Zendrea is in its free pilot: every feature is currently free for pilot users, including future Premium ones. Buttons carrying a small star badge are marked as requiring a Premium subscription in the future — today that covers: inviting additional members; the bank-statement import (camt.052/.053/.054) with its matching; the pain.001 payment-file export; the ready-to-file ESTV VAT XML download, including the correction XML of the VAT year-end reconciliation; the whole "Export Tax Files" menu of the Tax Declaration report (the annual-accounts (Jahresrechnung) PDF with the notes, the loss-schedule and hidden-equity PDFs, the officers' salary certificates, the E-Bilanz (XBRL) file and "Save all"); the official salary-certificate (Lohnausweis) generation; the shareholder certificate and the dividend statement PDFs; the AI auto-fill-from-receipt buttons (expenses and asset purchases); the AI auto-fill of an accident or sickness insurance contract from its policy (attaching the policy itself is free); and reading the pension fund's documents with AI (BVG). A direct bank connection (EBICS) is intended as a Premium feature later but is NOT part of the app today — there is no connection panel to set one up, and the bank files above are the whole bank story for now. Permanently free: the whole accounting cycle up to the figures for the tax return, that is double-entry bookkeeping, QR-bill invoices, quotes with their PDF and email, expenses, salaries with all deductions (AHV/ALV/FAK, BVG, UVG/KTG), payslips, the year-end wage lists (AHVeasy, insurers), the VAT report figures and the VAT year-end reconciliation figures, balance sheet and income statement (also as PDF), the fixed-asset register with automatic depreciation, the Tax Declaration report with its copy buttons, the tax estimate, the built-in AI assistant (with a monthly AI quota), at-rest encryption, and full data import/export. The ready-to-file documents (XML files and the PDFs above) are the Premium comfort. Premium pricing is committed as a flat monthly subscription between CHF 5.99 and CHF 59.99, tiered by the company's annual revenue (smaller companies pay less) and cancellable at any time; the exact tier table and the launch date are not announced yet. Pilot users will get founder pricing at launch. Announced for Premium beyond the starred buttons: no ledger-row budget (unlimited ledger rows), a higher monthly AI quota and priority support; none of them is active yet, because no Premium subscription exists yet. Free and Premium are chosen PER COMPANY, not per account: one account may run any number of companies, every one of them stays permanently free, and the same account can keep one company on the free tier while another runs on Premium — adding a company never costs anything by itself. The free tier is NOT unlimited in volume: it comes with a budget of 5000 ledger rows per financial year per company, shown live in the footer as "Ledger counter: <used> / 5000". A ledger row is one line of the Ledger, not one booking — a normal booking posts one row, a salary run posts about five, and a multi-position expense or multi-VAT invoice posts one per position, so 5000 rows is roughly 2500 bookings a year. VAT does not add a row of its own. NOTHING IS ENFORCED TODAY: the counter only counts, no booking is ever refused for being over budget, and there is no announced date on which that changes — say exactly that rather than warning a user that they are about to be cut off. When a user asks what the star on a button means, what the footer counter is, or what Zendrea costs, explain exactly this — never invent tier boundaries, dates, volume limits or consequences beyond the committed CHF 5.99–59.99 range, the 5000-row budget and the announced Premium extras above.
